
Francesco Campese
Francesco Campese is an Italian painter whose work explores the subtle tension between presence and absence through suspended atmospheres, refined geometries, and dense micro-textural surfaces. He holds a Specialist Degree in Visual Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
His works have been exhibited in major institutions and art spaces, including MACRO (Rome), MAAM (Rome), the Chamber of Deputies (Rome), Delizia Estense del Verginese (Ferrara), the Museo d’Arte dello Splendore (Giulianova), the Accademia della Crusca (Florence), Palazzo Ducale (Tagliacozzo), and numerous galleries and cultural venues throughout Italy.
Campese has received several awards and recognitions, among them the Fausto Pirandello Prize (2nd place), the Basilio Cascella Prize (Special Mention), and he is a finalist of the Arte Laguna Prize 2024 in Venice. His works are held in public and private collections in Italy and abroad. He currently works and exhibits at Spazio Urano in Rome.
